This policy forms part of the CodeElveza marketplace agreement. Mandatory rights under applicable law are not excluded.
Effective date: 2026-07-30 Last reviewed: 2026-07-30
This policy explains when a buyer may request a refund for a digital product bought through CodeElveza. It does not restrict any non-excludable right or remedy under applicable consumer law.
1. Request period
Submit a marketplace refund request within 14 days after payment, unless the product page, payment provider or applicable law provides a longer period. A delayed request may still be considered for concealed defects, serious security issues, fraud or another legally protected reason.
2. Potentially eligible grounds
- The purchased files were not delivered or cannot be downloaded after reasonable troubleshooting.
- The main file is corrupted, materially incomplete or cannot be installed as documented.
- The product materially differs from its description, screenshots, demo, stated features or disclosed compatibility.
- A promised core feature does not work and the seller cannot provide a reasonable correction within an appropriate time.
- The product contains undisclosed malicious code, a serious security defect or unlawful content.
- The same product and licence were purchased twice by mistake, or the buyer was charged more than once for the same order.
- The seller or CodeElveza has confirmed that the buyer is legally entitled to a refund.
3. Grounds not normally sufficient on their own
- The buyer changed their mind after receiving the digital files.
- The buyer lacks the technical skill, hosting environment or third-party service required where those requirements were clearly disclosed.
- The buyer expected an unadvertised feature, customisation, installation or support service.
- A disclosed third-party dependency, API, hosting provider or external service changed or became unavailable after purchase, unless the seller made an applicable guarantee.
- The buyer refuses reasonable troubleshooting or does not provide enough information to assess the claim.
- The buyer no longer needs the product or found another product at a lower price.
4. How to request a refund
- Open the relevant paid order and select the refund-request option.
- Describe the issue accurately, identify the affected feature and list troubleshooting already attempted.
- Attach reasonable evidence such as screenshots, error messages, system information or correspondence. Remove passwords, secret keys and unrelated personal data.
- Allow the seller and CodeElveza a reasonable opportunity to investigate or correct a remediable issue.
5. Review process
CodeElveza may review the listing, files, order history, support communications, technical evidence and seller response. We may approve a full or partial refund, request further information, allow a reasonable correction period, reject the request with reasons, or take another remedy required by law. Complex or fraudulent claims may require additional time.
6. Consequences of approval
- The relevant licence, purchase code, downloads and update rights may be revoked.
- The buyer must stop using the product and delete copies where the licence is terminated, except where law permits retention for evidence.
- Seller earnings and marketplace accounting are reversed or adjusted.
- Funds are returned through the original method where possible; bank and provider processing times may apply.
7. Chargebacks and payment disputes
Contact CodeElveza first so the issue can be investigated. A chargeback does not automatically establish refund eligibility. Fraudulent or abusive chargebacks may result in account restriction, recovery of reasonable costs and preservation of transaction evidence, without limiting legitimate cardholder rights.
8. Seller-initiated refunds and removed products
A seller may request a refund where it cannot fulfil the product commitment. Removal of a product does not automatically entitle every buyer to a refund, but CodeElveza will consider access, security, description, support, licence and mandatory legal obligations.
9. Escalation
Send questions to legal@codeelveza.com. After using the internal process, a consumer may contact a competent consumer-protection authority or pursue another remedy available under applicable law.
